A nurse--Alex Pretti--was killed
By federal agents, and folks ask why
Someone who was in no way
A threat to agents had to die.
Why are agents on our streets
Roughing up people and spreading fear?
To satisfy the whims of a cruel
President whose end is near?
For we can see the man at the helm
Deteriorating before our eyes,
And as he fades, his admin team
Eagerly spread his vicious lies.
We have seen the videos
Of what occurred when Pretti was shot.
Agents say that he was holding
A weapon, but clearly he was NOT.
Pretti was holding his mobile phone,
Recording what federal agents were doing.
The videos from other people
Show us what was really ensuing.
"A joy to work with." "A really sweet guy."
"A very skilled nurse." "A kindhearted soul."
That's how people describe nurse Pretti.
Helping others: his major goal.
Do we sit immobilized,
Dazed, confused, bewildered, perplexed?
Or do we take action so we will not be
Forced to wonder who will be next?
One more life taken by ICE…
This is wrong and it must cease.
Enough is enough! In the meantime,
May Alex Pretti rest in peace.
