Trump is looking for a showdown,
Repeating his tired and weary refrain:
How to inflame a situation
So he can obtain political gain.
Amping up the ICE raids here
In California: his newest plan.
He wants to show the people that
He's in charge--that he's the MAN.
Equating migrants with evil doers--
A racist and dangerous equation--
He says he's going to "liberate"
L.A. from a "migrant invasion."
He knew that scary raids by ICE--
His cruel, scummy, and constant fixation--
Would anger people, and thugs would take
Advantage of the situation.
He'll say the state can't solve its problems
Of violence. "However, they'll see
That I can fix it by sending in troops.
Everyone, bow down to me."
Protests had been peaceful for months,
But Trump right now is overjoyed.
To see how sick the man has become,
You don't have to be a Sigmund Freud.
Pursuing his political goals--
Let's call this "The Dictator Hour"--
He's shattering norms, one by one,
And bypassing any limits on power.
He's setting California up,
Knowing what would come about.
He loves to start a fire and then
Employ theatrics to put it out.
