Just a Reminder

To all service members out there,

This is just a little reminder

Of something that I know you'll find

In your military binder:

 

You are never obligated

To follow illegal orders. No way!

Legal orders, yes, of course,

Those are ones you must obey.

 

But Donald Trump clearly doesn't

Want this message to get around.

Everybody knows how much

He doesn't like being rule bound.

 

I hope my fellow vets out there

Will spread the word along with me.

Will the unhinged president

Get away with murder? We'll see.

Good Friends

Trump looks so ridiculous

When he now pretends

That he and Jeffrey Epstein weren't

At one time such good friends.

 

Surely he must realize

The message that it sends

When he covers up the fact

That they were really friends.

 

The information we have gathered

Up to this point lends

Credence to the fact that they

Truly were good friends.

 

They MIGHT have had a falling out

And didn't make amends,

But that does not preclude the two

From having been good friends.

 

And Trump's press secretary

Goes to such great ends

To distance Trump from Epstein and

Deny that they were friends.

 

AG Bondi stands by Trump.

Watch her as she spends

Time defending his misdoings--

A plus of having friends.

 

To have the AG in your pocket

Has its dividends.

She WON'T release the Epstein files;

You do that for good friends.

 

If there is no there there, well,

Who then comprehends

The reason Trump won’t say that he

And Epstein were good friends?

Ah, That Pardon Power

Have you committed a federal crime

Or maybe even a few?

There's no need to worry at all,

For Trump will pardon you.

 

Did you storm the Capitol

And beat up officers, too?

Were you convicted of crimes? You know

That Trump has pardoned you.

 

Election results of 2020.

Tell me: Is it true?

Were you convicted of meddling with them?

Trump will pardon you.

 

Were you convicted of perjury

Or fraud and now feel blue?

Trump thinks you were badly mistreated,

So he will pardon you.

 

Money laundering. Is it something

That you were able to do?

Were you convicted? Well, guess what:

Trump will pardon you.

 

Is sexual misconduct a path

That got you in a stew?

Your fellow sexual predator

Will surely pardon you.

 

Do you promise that you will be

A loyalist through and through

To Trump? Then do whatever you want,

For he will pardon you.

Assault with a Deadly Sandwich

The gods of hilarity must be having fun.

Beware of any deadly roll or bun,

For you know many things can be amiss

When subs can put an end to daily bliss.

A man, Sean Dunn, insists the DOJ,

Is dangerous and should be put away.

 

What did he do? Oh, horror to behold!

The man, displaying anger, tried to scold

A federal agent wearing a bulletproof vest

And with his sub he hit him in the chest.

Assault with a deadly sandwich was the claim.

The DOJ says Dunn should live in shame.

 

In court the agent said the sub exploded

On his chest. My goodness! It was loaded!

What could be more deadly than a sub?

MUST I now forsake my Subway club?

The prosecutor's case, of course, fell short,

And the case was laughed right out of court.

 

Mr. Dunn--"Not guilty!"--was acquitted.

A misdemeanor hadn't been committed.

But that won't stop the DOJ, for it

Lost one case, but it won't throw a fit.

What's next? A case of deadly pumpernickel?

A deadly pizza? Or a deadly pickle?

On the Ballot

Recent election results indicate

That people are tired of Donald Trump.

All across the country we saw

That Trumplicans got a kick in the rump.

 

People are tired of all the lies

Made up daily and often repeated,

Tired of tariffs and rising prices,

Tired of seeing people mistreated,

 

Tired of extrajudicial killings

Of people in watercraft on the high seas,

Tired of a Trump administration

Filled with people with no expertise.

 

To explain why Republicans took a loss,

Trump once again took out his mallet

And bashed the truth. He said it was

Because he wasn't on the ballot.

 

Ignore the truth and pass the blame

As much as you want, Mr. Trump, sir!

The ballot might not have had your name,

But YOU were on it; you REALLY were.
